so I took Raymond Maslows list for self actualizing.
on this other site some of us have been ranking how much of these traits or
values matters to us. There is no judgement. I don't agree with all of it even but
according to Maslow to self-actualize is to have all of this. so I thought we'd just
have fun with it. tick off or comment on these traits do you believe them are
you these things? Are you not? Do you not even like the idea of such a trait?

1. Superior perception of reality and acceptance for all (
I agree with the first part the second. Not all behaviors or everyone should be
accepted?
2. Spontaneous behavior
I don't think everyone is spontaneous and that should be okay.
3. Focused on problems and challenges in life than self. Not focused on self
feeling
This is me anyway.
4. Detachment from things
Maybe a good idea? I like things though.
5. Value solitude/ privacy to contemplate
Yes that can be true.
6. increase sense of autonomy and individuality
sure
7. Resistant to social conditioning
fine with this. Good to think independently.
8. Being world citizens not enslave to culture
I like some cultural stuff.
9. Comfy being themselves without approval
*raises hands and waves* that's me!
10. Good sense of reality, truth, facts over superstition and dogma
I have a problem with that. I agree with it but some people call things I believe
in dogmatic... .
11 Open to experience emotions richly
Not that emotional. I just don't get it that much.
12. Have high peak of flow state (passionate)
You could say I am passionate.
13. Relate well to the human species
I may never be that good, I realize that's something I wish I can do!
14. Good interpersonal skills
utmost. I have that, mostly.
15. Democratic structure and not dictating
Yes a republic is better than a dictatorship.
16. Increased creativity
Not that good at creativity but I try?
17. Deep knowledge of who they are
why not? not great at introspection though.
18. Constantly moving towards integration and world view
er. what? integration is important. and world view?
19 Actively nurturing other talents (would train others)
I believe in self improvement.
20. Place great value on the ideal values (truth, beauty, goodness, uniqueness,
wholeness, justice, simplicity, richness, effortlessness and playfulness. Chasing
the higher needs.
sure I agree with everything but playfulness.
21. Driven by positive intrinsic motivation and not lack. They do things because
they want to. Driven from inside.
absolutely me.
22. They enjoy more aspect in life, including quiet moments
I agree.
23. Taking pleasure at being excellent
I agree
24. Takes non-judging, non condeming, non interring attitude towards other.
Not objectifying people.
I think some of it is good. not condemnation. but critique can be helpful. Some
people can define judgmentalness differently though.
25. More loving. need less love but can give more love
uh. whatever I can take or leave this one.
26. Embrace concepts, conflicts, comfy with paradoxes and not knowing
hmmm...
27. Desires what is good for them
I am okay at this? mostly. I don't know if anyone is perfect at this.
28. Good psychological health
rather good.
29. See work as precious cause
I think that's kind of hard for most.
30. Want to contribute to the world
I do.
31. Willing to be imperfect and can admit it
I never said I was perfect.
32. Easily disciplined about them
mostly.
33. Won't go overboard and can find balance
mostly.
34. Express impulses yet use less control. They are not rigid and anxiety driven
not my type of thing but I don't know if I think I am rigid either.
35. Express aggression in a positive way. Not physically lashing out
I try to most of the time. I fail a lot.
36. Different set of concerns than ordinary people.
What is that suppose to mean? I don't think I like that!
37 Live positively
Define positive, but I agree. but we have to be rational and careful and
responsible.
38 Live in the present
sure.
39. Make more conscious decisions at higher level of conscientiousness
Okay, sure.
